There is absolutely no such thing as a "Standard" AR 10 lower. AR10, unlike AR15, is proprietary to Armalite. I guess Armalite didn't think the AR15 would be as big a hit and put their faith in the AR10 platform because they never trademarked or patented "AR15". AR15 lowers are very standard. AR10 type lowers are proprietary. The 3 main patterns for lowers in the larger Ar10 platform are Armalite AR10, DPMS LR, & Rock River Arms. Also KAC, but they are not quite as popular due to supply and demand, their primary customer for this lower is the US Military. Most of the other manufacturers will pattern after one of these three, usually DPMS LR or Armalite AR10. There are differences in shape and pin sizes.

You definitely should contact LWRC and see who they pattern their lowers after. There is NO STANDARD.

Not exactly. Armalite DID copyright the name "AR-15". They sold the rights to that name to Colt. Colt was not interested in the AR-10 so it was not a part of the transaction.

I stand corrected, thank you very much.
