The guy who invented those, Gary Dahl, used to be a neighbor back when he "invented" the pet rock. Decent guy. He bought a bar in town with the money he made from selling rocks. Bar is called Carry Nations.

Quick history lesson, winds seemed like maybe she got it... I assume you understand the irony too since you made a point to mention it. But for those who slept through history class...

Carrie Anne Moore Nation was a prohibitionist way back in the day, before prohibition was cool. She would regularly bust into bars with her Bible in one hand and a hatchet in the other and go buck wild. She would scream verses while destroying drinking establishments from the inside out.

She reportedly, supposedly, dropped the "Moore" and changed the spelling of her name to "Carry", thereby making it "Carry A. Nation". She felt she was doing God's work and leading our nation in the right direction.

She was slightly delusional I think.

remember those big flat Charms lollipops, the ones in the cellophane wrapper. Man you could lick that lollipop to hone quite a sharp enough edge to perform surgery with.

She lived right down the road from where I'm at in Medicine Lodge KS, In fact her house is still there and you can go through it. She chopped up the bar in Anthony KS and you can still see the hatchet marks on the bar to this day.
