    Hello, everyone.

I recently purchased an SCCY CPX-1 and I want to find out when it was manufactured because it seems to be the case that early models were riddled with flaws but later models have decent reliability.

Anyway to do this without calling SCCY?

Of course. You just cut it in half, and count the rings. :p

Sorry- old joke. Do not know of a data base on these. They have only been making that one since (I think) 2005, do not know what number they started with.

Think you will need to call them.

prolly not. most times you see lists of serial number by manufacture date relates to collector arms where people have spent a great deal of effort collecting the data because of the collector status.

from a little reading about sccy, none of it terribly good, i would guess they dont make collectable arms. my initial impression from a quick googling is use it for trade bait one a better gun if your questioning its reliability :/
