Good choice. Let us know when you have it.

    Congrats!

We'll be expecting a range report too.

    :)

Great choice. I wouldn't mind one of those myself. I'm pretty sure it will be absolutely reliable. Pics and a range report when you get it. :)

Nothing wrong with your decision, but I can assure you you will not want to shoot 357's out of it!!!;)
Stick with the 38+p's and you will be very happy.
Been there, done that, and have scars to prove it!

+p rounds are still a handfull. My mother in law has one in 38 and it's a very nice revolver. One thing I'm not 100% on is the front sight. Black on black kinda gets lost, you may want to look in to another sight or painting the stock one. But it's a great firearm and you won't be disappointed.

My wife has a habit of buying finger nail polish in bright colors.

To help keep it fresh, I will grab one, shake it, and use it on the front sight.

    It helps.

Don't tell the bad guys about your trial period! Carry the freaking gun! Even an unreliable gun is probably better than none at all!! It's a Ruger and it's revolver! I'll go out on a limb and say its reliable! Enjoy your day! Stay safe!!

I prefer fingernail polish myself. That way I can change the color of my sights to suit the season.

A powerful round, compatible with 38spl,

a simple platform made by a reputable

    manufacturer.

"Glow-On" makes Strontium paint for sights,

    also.

That's what I do also. I have my glocks and my Gp100 painted with bright green nail polish. Works great and is cheap to replace the color.

Word of Warning to the single guys:

If you do decide to use finger nail polish, hide it very well if you entertain someone in your house.
You do not want to give the wrong impression.

So I should stop putting it on my fingernails to see what it looks like when it dries?

Anybody have a pic of the fingernail polish sights that they've done? I want to see how much your covering.

I went to Wally-world and bought a bottle of the nastiest bright green nail polish I could find and it makes a front sight really stand out.
