Damascus Skinner For The Kids

    I thought I was done forging for the summer but had a reason come up to build another blade. This one will be raffled off to help our local area Foster Children's Christmas fundraiser this year. I guess you can't find a better reason to heat up the forge and anvil than Christmas and little kids. ;)

    224 layer Damascus using 1084 and 15n20 steels, Austenitize at 1500 °F and oil quenched- tempered to 58 HRC (spheroidized). Dyed Box Elder Burl wood handle.

    WOW! at at a loss for words. that is simply beautiful! amazing work.

    and for a such a good cause, that's a generous thing to do. huge respect for your skills as a bladesmith and huge respect for doing what you did.

    Looking at that knife, I can only echo the WOW'S given about. Somebody is going to be very, very lucky.
