First one, they are investigating whether the gun was legal. Im not sure it was legal but it was lethal and Im glad it was for the clerks sake! That barstard will never play Samurai Robber again!

The second one is precious, son saves mom from attacker with a Daisy! Now thats flower power to the extreme! I love it!

Good goin', both cases. I wonder why a dead man with a samurai sword was trying to rob them.

Matteo, who is 47-years-old and resides in Las Vegas, was arrested in connection with this event and has been charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery and burglary.

i think the acomplice should be charged with manslaugther as well.. if she hadnt dropped him off. he wouldnt be dead.

nice one for the clerk though. hope it ends well

In a case like this it is a shame that the emphasis is on whether the good guy had an 'illegal' firearm. Legal shmegal ... 911 is not fast enough ... Big Brother can't care enough ...
Prayer collides with billions of other prayers ... best you bow to the natural order of things like in "Self-Preservation" or "Natural Instinct," than to be dead and bury as the good guy.

The clerk was discriminating against the victims heritage!! The clerk should have been PC and asked him politely to leave!

    LOL!
And to be really PC, the clerk should have given him all the store's money, all of his own money, and taken up a collection from the other employees to make sure the perp had enough to last him until his next welfare check or drug deal gets him some mo' money. :D

Just the cops trying to make sure they didn't pass up an excuse to arrest the clerk, to create the illusion they are on top of the situation. They wil get a pat on the a$$ from the chief if they can "nail" the clerk.

I work for a computer research foundation affiliated with a "top 20" university. Their Kampus Kops put out a newsletter instructing the students on how to react to an armed robber or assailant:

"Scream loudly and try to run away".

    They forgot to include:
"Fire a few warning shots through his chest, then scream loudly and try to run away".

"Paul Newman was hospitalized for treatment and will face felony assault and harassment charges. Police call him a "frequent flyer," somebody they have had nearly 50 contacts with and who has been arrested dozens of times over the last ten years or so."

and if this SON OF A BWITCH WAS IN JAIL, he wouldn't have been able to do this........what a joke the courts are!!! (notice i dint say police)

He obviously had some issues. His name was Paul Newman, so he probably was not the offspring of a couple of rocket scientists. He was carrying what was probably a fake samurai sword, maybe sharp enough to cut warm butter. He'd been busted 50 times. He was robbing a Dairy Queen when it wasn't busy. At most he may have gotten $35 or so. Where was his mommy?
