I am getting ready to do a project on a commander 1911 I have and 2 of the things I want to do are:
    1. cut fine line serration in the top of the slide (yes I have a mill)
    2. I want to cut some off of the outer radius of the slide to make it appear to have a raised top on it. I am having a hard time trying to figure out what tools I need for this.
I would like some suggestions on what I need to buy.
    Thanks

I can be of no help.

Are you thinking of something like the S&W Model 27 top?

Find a picture of the Dan Wesson Guardian Duce (Google or Bing). It has the rib like the Gold Cup.

Have you thought of adding a rib and then machining?
