Hi every one I need some help fineding a custom shop to make my lower reciver with no logo cause I'll be putting a custom logo and the caliber I'll be using is .25x47mm please help me if know some thing
i agree with Sevin. i think this round would be better suited to a bolt action or single shot rifle as a varmint or smaller to medium sized game caliber. i think that in an AR platform, you just aren't going to realize the rounds full potential for accuracy.Nope.
Not to be an ***, I just don't see the need to go 'wildcat' on the AR platform.
on an AR platform, i would personally suggest anything you don't have to custom build cases for. if reloading for an AR platform, i would want something as easy to reload for as possible. anything that takes much time to reload for due to case preperation and such would be more suited to a bolt action rifle or a single shot rifle. i am only giving my opinions on this and what my reason are and what i would do. the choice is up to you. there are those who handload precision ammo for their AR's and shoot for accuracy, and there's nothing wrong with that. to each his own. personally i don't shoot my AR for precision accuracy, as i have many bolt actions for that. if i get a 1-2" group at a 100-150 yards with my AR, i'm a happy camper.K so what cal should I use then?
well let me ask you this then, do you reload?I did not think of it that way that y I'm asking every one for there help one my sec AR cause I would like to use it for hunting
then i would stay with a 223 in the AR and get some help from the guys here on building an accurate AR. with the 223 you have many fine choices of premium ammo available for hunting. if wanting something with more power, try out the 6.8 SPC. little more expensive, but still available as factory loaded ammo. plus it still retains use in a standard sized AR platform with only a barrel, BCG and magazine change. Not really
You're wanting to custom build an AR for a 'wildcat' cartridge for 'medium game' hunting? What do you mean seven
then you will have to go with an AR in the 308 size to be able utilize the 243. after all the 243 is basicly a 308 necked down to a 6mm(243).Sweet what about the 243 for the AR ?
