Wow, I thought I was crazy as a kid! Thats nutz for sure!
I do that all the time, that is what the scatter gun was made for, whatever you could pour down the barrel.................
there was another member a couple of years ago that started a thread like this. it was shut down and deleted. just saying.
WTF is the purpose of this??? Go get a cheap box of Remington Sluggers if you want to punch holes in things.
That guy is an idiot.
[wonders if cockroaches could survive the trip]
personal opinion. when you go about modifying ammo from it's OEM state and doing things like this, you are looking for bad things to happen. IMO, it also sets a bad example for those who don't know any better to get themselves hurt.
[wonders where bears gather to watch youtube...]
leave the Skittles alone Gello! get some slugs for the bears!
I think he'd prefer a howitzer.
You're adding fuel to the fire man!
I shudder when I think to myself: "These morons are the future of our great nation?"
I will admit that I have fired something from a shotgun shell that was not intended to be fired from any gun, popcorn. My grandfather used to load it into 2 3\4 in 12 gauge shells, and use it to kill rats when he found them in the house. Loaded up a couple when my ex-wife and I had a rat in one of our old apartments. Here are my observations about my home made "rat shot".
1. It will kill a rat at close range.
2. It does pizz of you upstairs neighbors, and they will call the cops.
3. LEOs will stare at you in disbelief when you explain what you were doing.
4. At least 1 of the responding officers will try it themselves (both of them in this case).
5 You can still pop the kernels that did not enter the rat, but they taste like sh!t.
I do not recommend loading anything in a gun that it was not designed to shoot, but sometimes it can be fun. Now if I have to deal with rodents, I just use bird shot in the pistol, or traps. A lot less attention from local LE that way.
Rock salt shells were the **** back in the day I had many friends who got popped with it by angry farmers funny thing was most of the time it was all the farmers sons running around late at night trying to get wasted and cow tip with a quad that ended up getting shot by there own family or friends family
Idiots last words; "Hey! watch this"
Darwin is alive and well.
That goober was going to try to fire an empty 12 gr CO2 cartridge- which is much larger than the .72 caliber barrel of a 12 g. Sooner or later he is going to have one of those "Aw CRAP!" moments.
I'll admit I do like taofledermaus' weird shotgun load vids, but they are professionals who know what they are doing.
I have also loaded weird stuff into .410 shells (a rainy day and a box of shells gets to ya), like small nuts, small nails, salt, pepper, pieces of solder, small screws, airsoft BBs, etc.
All were fired out of an old shotgun (and the barrel is still completely undamaged), and proper safety was used.
Some actually yielded neat results.
The nuts were pretty great.
But I had one where it was a small bolt with six nuts tightened on it.
It was pretty much a slug that tumbled.
Did some nasty damaged on water filled cans and bottles.
Also have shot exotic shotgun rounds.
Most are just novelty stuff, but the triple deckers, the flechettes, the dragons breath, and the terminators are pretty awesome loads.
