Really? Nothing? Really???
Stupidity knowth no limits. We've known all along that magazines do harm to others not bullets.
We do have this law to thank for demonstrating that they will not stop at a 10 round "compromise". The proof is finally out there. Now it has been suspended? Win-win.
I think the real question I have at this point (and the reason it was a stupid proposal and now law in the first place...) is "Who exactly makes a 7 round magazine (..or "clip" for the firearm informationally challenged) ??????
Dont link to Bloomberg.com!!!! Every link makes money for the enemy!!
If the budget passes, this will open the door to repealing the SAFE Act. Even if every clause in the bill is challenged one at a time, It can be defeated. The only problem is, is Komrad Cuomo enough of an azzhat to veto the very budget he sent out, and has been fighting to pass for the last month over one thing he doesn't agree with? We will see shortly.
I just read this mornings newspaper and it seems like we will still be allowed to purchase and possess 10 round mags but the 7 bullet limit is still in effect, unless you are shooting at a sanctioned range.
I guess it's still good news, but it ain't great news.
This to be enforced by NY State BHCD (Bullet-Holder Clip Device) Inspectors who will be trained and authorized to count up to seven.
