The biggest WTFs that were on that list, at least to me, were the DEC and DMV employees. Explain to me please why a DMV employee or a game warden would need such firearms when the general populus are not supposed to own them. It makes no sense to me whatsoever.

On the other hand, CT's law still makes more sense than the UNSAFE Act does in the money grabbing hell hole where I live. At least CT has provisions that are less restrictive for .22s, retired LEOs, and a means of transfer is available for so called "Assault weapons". They have it better than we do here in NY, but not by much.

Everyone living in NY and CT needs to vote with their dollar. The best way of doing so is if you can afford to move out of state, do it ASAP. Take away their tax dollars that are provided to them by you, and give them to a state that respects your 2A rights. I recommend Vermont and Pennsylvania to the residents of CT and NY. Get out if you can.

A .22 rimfire is an "assault weapon" in CT if it has a flash supressor and detachable mag? What a screwed up state.

Here in MA it's considered one if it has three features. A 10/22 with an Archangel stock is illegal in MA, if you look up the definition of BS in the Oxford dictionary that is the definition.

New York is the same way. It's not about it being used in combat or by the military. The laws are all about how "scary" it looks. i would worry a lot more about that 7.62 MM bullet coming out of a Mosin Nagant that will blow through a cinderblock wall than if someone has a pistol grip and flash hider on a 10\22. but hey, that's just my opinion on it.

The gun is no more deadly with the pistol grip, and contrary to what they say it is harder to fire from the hip with a pistol grip.

Come to Florida. If you can, bring your maligned gun manufacturers. If you can't bring them, come anyway. we are 1,000,000 plus strong concealed carry holders, and will welcome you.

    You're dealing with liberals.

Canada has hundreds of prohibited firearms that were added in the 90's. They were selected by some of our then-Liberal Party federal cabinet ministers sitting around a table with gun catalogues picking out all the scary-looking ones. That's an honest-to-Gawd true story.

    There's no sense in it.

..and there in lies the rub. These policies are driven by persons (some of whom have heavy private security at tax payer expense) who have NO knowledge of the subject at hand... and do NOT bother with getting information from those that do. They feed upon the fears of the public fostered by an ever increasing media bias that also profits greatly by fueling said fears. ....and WE (the law abiding gun owners who haven't done anything wrong) pay the price in the short run... while the country pays the price of lost civil liberties in the long. The one question no one is asking is "Why do areas of the country with the most lax firearm laws have fewer (if any) of these incidents..??? Meanwhile in Chicago, New York, California and District of Columbia....???"

Bill O'reilly on the Factor "FOX NEWS" gave out crime percentages last week.Seams Blacks and Hispanics commit the most violent crimes,in the United States, with Whites committing less then "one percent"of violent crime in America,me being 100% white makes me think, why the hell do they want to restrict my firearms Freedom for,it's logical if they want to reduce violent crime, well then go after the populations who commit the most violent crime savages, not us hunters, paper punches and braggers.A walk on the wild side for me is,having 2 or 3 beers at night home, against Doctors orders!

He wasn't standing his ground, he got out of a truck with a gun and approached a kid with skittles, quite frankly, Trayvon Martin stood his ground.

On that same line, how many women are serial killers, School Shooters or Gang hit persons? Few to none, so why are Woman restricted when they are never the ones that commit these types of crimes???

From were I stand looks like Trayvon was giving it his best to,bash Zimmerman brains out against the ground/concrete in a gated community,Zimmerman being a volunteer watchman at this community,a kid with skittles just don't get remotely more innocent then that?

The reason he was Trayvon Martin was beating Zimmerman is because Zimmerman was following him in a truck and got out with a gun, now who's the victim here- you'd have to be insane to say that Zimmerman is the victim.

No Zimmerman wasn't a victim he compensated and was the winner,if Trayvon was walking around my fields barn or farmhouse at night, eating skittles the outcome would be the same,on 400 posted acres of land, unless he wandered onto the field that the Bulls in!

So your stance is that an innocent skittles loving teen was confronted by a man armed with a gun and the teen decided to charge the man in defense of his skittles?
    Are you on crack?
The kid had no business being there, he was up to no good, has a long rap sheet and he attacked a neighborhood watchman who luckily had a firearm.

No, I'm saying that an innocent teen was confronted by a man with a gun and he defended himself, how did he know that George Zimmerman wasn't a pedophile or some lunatic serial killer?
And what do you mean he had no business being there and that he was up to no good? He wasn't committing any crimes, and he was legally allowed to be there, the kid went to go buy something at a convenience store and some psychopath " neighborhood watch captain" moron thought he should become a vigilante and take matters into his own hands. So he got out of the truck even though the POLICE TOLD HIM NOT TO DO SO!!! He came at Trayvon Martin with a gun and Trayvon Martin defended himself, it's no different than what any of us would do if we felt endangered- we would defend ourselves.
And quite frankly, it doesn't matter if he had a rap sheet, it wasn't like he had robbed an old woman at knife point, it was marijuana charges. And Zimmerman didn't know that.
