My wife and I are going to North Conway New Hampshire on October 18 -20. Any recommendations on restaurants or gun shops to check out in the area? We plan on doing a lot of sight seeing. I think we'll be to late for MT Washington. Thanks Tim.

On your way up I93 get off in Hooksett ex 9N and stop into both Shooters Outpost and Riley's. Both are on Rt 3 Shooters Outpost on your left and then Riley's on your right about 2 miles north. Both great gun shops.

While in the White Mts make sure to drive down the Kancamagus Highway and over to Franconia Notch.

My favorite shop in NH is "Average Joe's" in Belmont NH, he's a great Guy with good prices and a good selection for being a small shop.

There's also a few others may be worth checking into like "Awesome Abe's" in New Hampton NH and "Belmont Firearms and Range" in Belmont NH.

Manchester Firing Line and Shooters Outpost are owned by the same guy and almost all the guns for sale are now at Shooters Outpost. If you're looking for a great range to shoot at and rent some fully auto firearms then Manchester Firing Line is the place to go. I'm a member there.

I really miss the old school shops. There are only a few left, Affordable firearms is one down in Pelham.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. We just got back from our trip last night around 8 o'clock. Unfortunately the only two stores I was able to go to was White Mountains firearms and then we ended up in Kittery Maine yesterday and I checked out the Kittery Maine trading post. It bums me out looking at all the stuff that we can no longer buy in Connecticut. I'm looking forward to someday moving to New Hampshire, it is truly a beautiful state!

i have been to Belmont Firearms and Range. Nice guy, nice range. (the A/C is ICE cold.)

However, the place is sort of expensive compared to what I have experienced in FL as he charges per person/per hour.

Most places here in FL either charge a flat rate per person or they charge per lane with unlimited range time (within reason).

He does have an excellent selection of guns to rent and buy, and is a nice dude.
