Nope, but I gave it to a local that will use the meat. Only 2 left to remove. Momma and a youngin. She got pretty smart to stay in after he went down

Good shooting! Have had whistlepig, will pass, thanx.

Few years back had to whack some that were tearing the hell out of garden. Spotted one moving down in the meadow, glassed him- yep- den right there. Got one of my bull barreled Mossberg target rifles, sat and waited. When he popped out of the hole, squeezed off a round, sent him rolling. Was about to eject the empty when he sat up, and shook his head.

WTH? Chambered another, squeezed- CRACK- and he rolls again- and sat back up. And a 3rd time- same results- Zombie groundhog. And then I realized- Standard velocity 22 LR. 175 yds. I was hitting him- but with their hide and fur, it was like hitting him with a 3 iron- it was not penetrating!

Put the Mossberg away, and got out the .220 Savage. Fixed THAT problem!

I had a similar experience with a raccoon last year. He would come into my backyard and stare at me through the window. When I would come out with the .410, he would run off about 40', then turn around and stare at me. I would fire the .410, and he would walk away. I then bought a 12 gauge and put an end to that game.

I head shot him and grabbed him out of his hole quickly so there wasnt a bunch of blood there and hoping it wouldnt run the others off. Gotta get them outta there to. Just noticed he started pissing all over. Not a bad pic for a cell phone.
