I wouldn't say bawl, but "Don't Take the Girl" did strike a chord in the center of my chest.

I also still get worked up when I hear Lee Greenwood's Proud to be an American.

"Skin" was awful. Take a girl, give her cancer, give her chemo, take her hair.

Indeed, to this very day, and it was especially emotional after 911. :(

"I'll Walk". At least a semi happy ending.

I don't think The Bloodhound Gang qualifies as Country - but that is a funny as hell title. :p

I'll second the "indeed" from Jack on this one. This one is used at a LOT of military ceremonies - and for good reason. When I was stationed in Korea in the mid-80s, this song would be played over the base PA system to indicate the exercise (war games) had ended...

JD, that Bloodhound Gang song sounds pretty country to me and that's about as country as I gets.

Although country music isn't very well known around this parts, I do like some Johnny Cash songs like "Hurt" and his version of "Solitary man". His voice just works great for sad songs.

I guess tango would be Argentina's version of sad country music, I really like it (I SUCK at dancing, but I do enjoy the poetry).

"Don't take the girl" always makes me a little watery eyed.

Second and third on the list are Mark Wills' - "Don't laugh at me"
and Cal Smith's - "Country Bumpkin"

My wife and I both considered this as our wedding song. It's our favorite song, although totally inappropriate as a wedding song.
