As post in a previous thread, I mention that Coonan Arms, now Coonan Inc is bringing back the Coonan Classic and Cadet. I was originally told by the end of the year, but I was just informed that it will probably be released around April. She said price would probably be between 1000-1200. So, who else would be interested in this pistol. It gives all of you older police officers another option to shoot your hoarded ammo supply then just your J-frames and Pythons.

I'm actually thinking of getting one of these. I started to shy away from it because I really wanted a 44 mag autoloader but its so damn hard to find a LAR Grizzly in 44 magnum I may just have to settle for 357 mag 1911.
357 mags put out a distinct muzzle report that feels like its shattering my ear drums with needles if I accidently dont have on ear protection, of course this is coming out of a Smith and Wesson revolver which makes me wonder if it sounds different out of the Coonan Classic.

Regardless, its a good classic coming back. I wouldnt mind having one given to me. :D

I would probably get one. One of my early mentors used Coonans a lot and found them to be excellent.

What's not to like about a 1911 chambered in 357 mag?

I saw one of these at a gun show in Medina, OH about a year ago. I almost got kicked out for drooling too much and turning the showroom into a slipping hazard.

I gotta admit, that is really sweet. I can't wait to see how it takes off.
