concealed weapons in courthouse parking lot

in Virginia can you have a concealed weapon in your vehicle in the parking lot. not the courthouse itself.

Unless otherwise noted, yes, as long as you follow VA laws regarding transporting of weapons in vehicles. A lot of that depends on the posted signs before entering the parking lot. If you have a CC permit, things are a bit easier, but you'll still need to leave it behind when entering the courthouse.

The same holds true for most gummint buildings in VA. In in the Spotsy county admin building and courthouse, can't even bring in a cell phone!
