Ive found the lower grain 45 auto are not as accurate. 230 grain seems to be the "sweet load" for the three inch barrell.

I like federal hydro-shock 230 grain also I like pow'er ball ammo

personally i like and use the Hornady 200gr XTP's in my 45's. functions well, very accurate, very good penetration and expansion. i reload the same bullet in my reloads for practice and they work very well also.
