I live in Michigan and am going to be in Gatlinburg area in late July. I plan to bring my XDm 5.25 and would like to find an indoor range where I can shoot. Any ideas? Also is the area friendly to concealed carry?

I'm not from the area so I don't have specifics. You should definitely check into the local carry laws and visitor laws. Method of travel and laws related should be checked also.

    Welcome to E TN

I live in Sevier County. Gatlinburg doesn't have an indoor range. You can go to the Sevier Indoor Range Their website is www.sevierindoorrange.com I also have some close friends that have been fighting the county to get their range open, they should be open before then. Their website is www.smfirearms.com Tell em David Pierce sent you. I grew up in MI in the little town of Martin, you'll pass it on US131 at exit 55. Concealed carry isn't a problem here, just make sure the property isn't posted. Oh and make sure you are completely concealed in Gatlinburg, our carry permits allow open carry, but the police there would probably hassle you BIG TIME if they suspected you were carrying, they're jerks, just a heads up.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably try the Sevier Range, then.

Just sent a message to Smokey Mountain Firearms asking if and when the range might be avail.
