I just had my favorite gun store order a new colt gold cup national match for me. I put $400 down and can't wait till it comes in. He wasn't sure on delivery date and said it could be 1 week to even a month.

I guess I have to get used to everyday feeling like a week while I'm waiting for this gun. The guy told me it could take up to a month.

A local shop here has a new blue Gold Cup in stock and I took a peak at it to see how it compared to my (beloved) series 70 GCNM, the first gun I started shooting as a teen in a Police Explorers group and the first gun I bought later on.

I was really impressed with the new one, and almost took it home with me. I was really glad to see Colt turning out such a nice product, and the price even seemed really reasonable.

Your really going to like yours. Well worth the wait.

The one I had ordered is stainless and my total was, atleast in my opinion, reasonable at $909.99 out the door.

Good price. Colts in my area ar usually tagged at MSRP & higher, plus the sales tax! But, when I check Colt's website for dealers, none are listed in my area, so I guess my LGS's are not buying at the best price.

My Gold Cup has served me well for over 40 years. That sounds like a very good price. I looked at a new LTW Colt Cmdr. today. It was priced at $1048.00.

I'm sure you can save me some search time because you have every new Colt built sitting in your vault. Right?

Can a guy get a new Series 70 in a polished blued finish? I've looked at the tame 100 year commemorative but it looks like more of a polished charcoal to me? No interest in the "pimp daddy" commemorate.

    Thanks

    Tack

I think you'll need to buy a new S70 and send it back to the Colt Custom Shop for your polished finish. And while its there, I'd have them include the Colt Enhanced Reliability Package while its there.
