These were announced in 2011 and it seems that just now they are turning up in shops. Saw my first one, liked it and bought it. My love affair with the 1911 started some 50 years ago and I've always liked the idea of a double action 1911. The Seecamp conversion was the first practical example followed by the Double Eagle. This one has a lightweight alloy frame and feels great in hand. The trigger and hammer looks a little like Paras LDA but unlike the Para the Colt has repeat strike capability. This pistol is a great option for those who feel uncomfortable carrying a 1911 cocked and locked. Colt also has a New Agent DAO.
