That's on the high side of what I've seen them go for, normally 900-1100ish, new in box, I'd say used real quick sale 500, slow sale 750-800. Is this a case where you need the money in an emergency or do you have time to wheel and deal?

I'd take that deal bro, that's what I was thinking, if your not in a pinch then I'd take that with me to a show and look for what I wanted and offer that colt and see what could be done but if your electricity is getting cut off......It'd be different lol.

Your kidding me, why would they, a big box store pay that much when you can buy it new for at most 1100?

It was there showcase/collection auction thing. I dont trust them. And the rifle i wanted was almost 200 more than everywhere else. They had some awesome 1911's from the thirties though. Id love to have one. I almost bought a black rain ar til i saw the price jeezeeee

Don't shoot the messenger but the Book value of a 100% un-fired Defender is 865$.

I'm not sure what "curio grade" means, (no mention in the Book) but I'd take the 1K$ in a heartbeat if I was you.

I can get that same NIB gun here for <1K$ OTD.

If you got 1.1K$ for it, I'd keep an eye over your shoulder for a while!
