what ammo are you firing for target practice? Where are you finding the best prices for 1000 round boxes

dont have one of those but i do have an old colt SP1 with colt 4x scope and bdc. i mainly shoot .22lr out of it with an occasional 100 rounds of .223. i run thousands of .22LR through and i find it more fun shooting the little itty bitty rimfires than the centerfire rounds. but then i just like 22LR

Mine really likes Winchester Q3131 55 grn ammunition, Lake City ball is also good in it as is any USGI ball be it 55 or 62 grn loads. I avoid the Russian steel cased ammo.

I've got a 6940 and have had no problem with Wolf 55 GRAIN FMJ. Near 1K downrange with no problems.

The FEDERAL LAKE CITY .223 / 5.56 XM193CBP 55 GRAIN - FMJ BRASS CASED - BOXER PRIMED - BOAT TAIL AMMO works well.

The LAKE CITY 223 / 5.56 M855 62 GRAIN CLEAN BRIGHT NEW SS109 AMMO GREEN TIP is another good buy.
