    Lets not get too misleading.
Included on that hideous bill (that wont pass) is legislation saying that shotgun mag tubes holding 8+ will be included on the ban list. Thats ONLY possible in most cases when you install aftermarket extension tubes, or in models like the Saiga. Most standard pumps hold 6+1.....Im going to go way out on a limb and venture to say more than 90% of pumps hold under 7 shells in the mag tube

"say goodbye to the pump shotgun" is false and misleading. I HATE every part of this bill as much as anyone but lets not stir mania just yet.

Don't forget, progressives are the most dishonest, ruthless people in the world. I don't know how many time ,in my youth, I have said "that don't make sense, it will never happen" and you can see where we are today!!!:(

Yes 7 total but doesnt the bill say "or convertable to more than 8" or some such language.

Any 1100 or 1187 and probably the pump 870 can be converted to more ammo...

Any tube fed shotgun that has a threaded cap on the end of the tube is readily convertible to accept more ammunition and would therefore be banned on CO. Basically from what I understand of the law is that anything that is not a muzzle loader would be banned. I may have missed the part about muzzle loaders though.

Keep in mind how the anti-gunners work. If they can get this passed it will prove they can restrict the number of shells.

Next it will be a requirement that a permanent plug be installed to allow no more than three shells.

Same game as with restricting magazine capacity.

    Foot in the door.

    Ultimate goal?

Single shot and permit issued by local police or Sheriffs department to buy up to six shells in any calendar year?

IMO, in today’s climate, not out of the question!

What is as bad or worse is the part of the bill that says that the the state can hold the manufacturer of the firearm legally responsible for the actions of the person that uses it in a criminal activity.

I think it's about time to retire the term "progressive" and go back to calling them what they really are. LIBERAL IDIOTS!

Back in the early 1940's we called these people national socialists when we stormed the beaches of normandy they held. Today we call them democrats liberals or progressives. Its all the same when your labeling socialism its still evil regardless of label.

Earlier than that we fought a civil war in the 1800's against these types of people. Before that we won our freedom from them in the 1770's. They have been angry with us ever since we kicked their hero king george to the curb.

Colorado Representative, Two time FELON loser. She can't legally have a gun, so she doesn't want law abiding citizens to have them either.

A buddy of mine was going to take his family and move back to Colorado to escape all of the crazy gun laws here. Guess that won't be happening any time soon.

I copied this from another site, looks ominous for Colorado.

email today from senator Greg Brophy

    Dear ****

They did it. After listening to hours upon hours of testimony against the upcoming gun control bills, the democrats on the Colorado Senate Committees passed a slate of seven anti-gun bills. The full Senate will vote on these bills tomorrow. House Bills 1224, 1226, 1228, and 1229 and Senate Bills 195, 196, and 197, if passed, will severely restrict access to firearms, impose unjust burdens on responsible gun owners, and make Colorado a more dangerous place to live. Many of the senate democrats aren't listening to their constituents and are completely ignoring the bills’ disastrous unintended consequences.

I strongly encourage you to come to the capitol tomorrow and make your voices heard. The turnout on Monday was very encouraging; the capitol was completely packed with Second Amendment supporters and we could hear the car horns blaring outside all day long. You can no longer testify on the bills, but coming to the capitol tomorrow will still make a difference. Each senator should be made to look every one of you in the eyes before they vote on these bills.

If you can’t make it to the capitol, you can watch a live broadcast of the proceedings at http://www.coloradochannel.net/live-broadcast.

Contact your state senator immediately and tell them to vote “no” on these bills. You can find your local legislators here: http://votesmart.org/. Your legislators’ contact information can be found at http://www.leg.state.co.us/CLICS/CLI...y?openFrameset for the House and http://www.leg.state.co.us/CLICS/CLI...n?openframeset for the Senate. In addition to voicing your opinions, you should remind your legislators that you won’t forget their votes on these bills during the 2014 election. Remember that we’re trying to convince these senators not to vote on these bills, so please be polite and concise.

The bad news is that the majority party supports these bills. The good news is that not all senate democrats are completely behind the gun bills. Below is a list of democrat legislators the Denver Post has stated could be swayed to vote “no”:

    Angela Giron
    303-866-4878
    angela.giron.senate@state.co.us

    Cheri Jahn
    303-866-4856
    cheri.jahn.senate@state.co.us

    Andy Kerr
    303-866-4859
    andy.kerr.senate@state.co.us

Gail Schwartz (from a rural district-her constituents probably do not support gun control)
    303-866-4871
    gail.schwartz.senate@state.co.us

    Linda Newell
    303-866-4846
    linda.newell.senate@gmail.com

We need only three votes to shoot the bills down.
Don’t get discouraged. We’ve already made waves so large they’re impossible for the gun grabbers to ignore. Let’s remind these legislators that they were not elected to advance a political ideology; they were elected to represent their constituents.

    Sincerely,
    Senator Greg Brophy
