I purchased a P7 PSP last year and love it. The proof marks indicate it was a military issue and not police. Whomever used it was certainly right handed as the slide has wear matching a right handed holster. I carry this gun primarily in the summer in a leather IWB tuck-able holster. Last summer it was 90 for many days and sweat got onto the gun and it began to rust where the bluing was rubbed off. It got so bad I quit carrying it. I asked a friend of mine if I should cera-coat it with a home kit to try to solve the problem at a reasonable cost. He said no way because it will lower the value of the gun and suggested I use a nylon or kydex holster. It is not uncommon for me to trade guns for the latest and greatest (right now I'm drooling over 300 BLK uppers) but this gun is unlikely to be traded. Is cera coating a good idea or am I just going to screw things up?
