I am a shameless cigar smoker. I relish my cigars, and ladies, no they do not "stink", they have an aroma. I used to be a four or five cigar a day smoker, now, due to the fact my office is no longer upstairs from a cigar shop and I have to drive 25 miles to get to the nearest one, I've cut back to smoking five or six a week.

I like the Arturo Fuente Hemmingway Maduros; the Fuente Anejo (a great cigar!); the Oliva V; have to include my fellow Texas Kinky Freidman, whose line of cigars includes a churchill sized maduro called the "Big Richard" that I really like; and, or course, who doesn't love the Padron 1926 series.

To name a few of my favorites.

    What's yours?

Nice selection. I am also a zippo fan -- own several, always carry one. And, yes, some say you aren't supposed to light a cigar with a zippo, but I've never noticed a taste difference.

As an aside, one evening I was in my favorite cigar bar, and a few seats down was a young woman (early 20's) showing her date the "proper" way to light a cigar, using matches and cedar strips and the whole bit. So a take a closer look at what special cigar deserved this VIP treatment. It was a CAO FLAVORED CIGAR.

    I said nothing.

Yep, I have several boxes of wooden matches, but I rarely use them.

Winston Churchill used a zippo. If it was good enough for him, well then.....

Swisher Sweet?? Smoked a few of those when I was a kid. Last really good cigar I smoked was a Macanudo down in New Orleans. cost around ten bucks and was one of the best cigars I've ever smoked. But I don't really know what's good and what isn't. Did enjoy that one though.

For those who are real pleasing to the ladies. I would suggest the Tatiana Vanilla Cigars. They are about a 40 ring and 6 inches in length. I have had ladies come up while smoking them and say wow that cigar smells great! I use to get them form the Thompson Cigar Co. But compliments to the Possum I like the Fuente Cigars!!!!!!

When a woman who is not a cigar smoker (and there are some) asks for a recommendation, I usually recommend the CAO Moontrance, which is a vanilla/berry flavored cigar. Fuente makes several cigars that I really like, I probably smoke more of them than any other.

Smoked a lot of Swisher Sweets on motorcycle trips -- short enough smoke for a gas/coffee stop, and you don't regret throwing an unfinished one away if it's time to go.

I really don't know what all those Three dollar words mean. I like the not complicated A&C Grenadiers Dark. They light off the dash lighter in the Dodge Diesel. A less complex life.:D

Just like a date with Rosey Palm is less complex than one with Jessica Alba.

Back when I was young, you could buy them for a nickle a piece. Used to know some old guys that wouldn't actually smoke them, they'd chew them until they were a stub, then grab another.

i smoke maybe 5 or 6 cigars a week. Backwoods "sweet aromatic" & Swisher "double barrel outlaws" are my usual. why? cuz they're cheap & i like 'em. Al Capone cigarellos also work good for the short commute home. i'm one of those oddballs that likes expensive whiskey & cheap cigars :p

i've had alot of good cigars & alot of bad ones, suprisingly some of the "bad" ones were bargain priced ones from the acclaimed brands like arturo fuente & macanudo. smokes are alot like beer & wine, just because people tell you it's good doesn't mean you're gonna like it.
