Man it pisses me off how Obama & friends are taxing the hell out of tobacco. Also, people are starting to treat smokers like crap for no good reason. So what if I smoke? Is it not enough that I can't smoke inside anywhere anymore, and that they raise the taxes on cigarettes one dollar per pack per year for the past couple of years in Texas? Guess what is going to happen. People are going to quit because they can't afford to smoke, which is going to put many more thousands of people out of work who are part of the tobacco industry, not to mention all of the tobacco farmers. These people are not evil. What about the single mom who is a receptionist for Philip Morris because that is the only job she could find? Or the tobacco farm in Virginia that is going to go under because no one can afford it? Those farms have been in families for generations, and now their only way of life they know is going to go up in smoke (pardon the pun). It shouldn't bother anyone that I smoke. It is my life. I know about all the cancer and lung disease, and I am taking that risk on my own terms. As for people who don't smoke, try to relate this to something that you indulge in, such as coffee, beer, chocolate, whatever. What do all y'all think about this? I'm pretty pi$$ed off. It's time for a revolution.
