The attack happened at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs in Wilson County.

Local ABC affiliate KSAT 12 reported the gunman entered the church at around 11:30 local time and began shooting.

Police told the outlet there were "multiple victims" and the gunman had been killed in the aftermath. The number of casualties is not yet clear.

    The gunman is always killed.
We never learn the motivation or illness that caused the attack. :(

Well, the attacker always finds time to do himself in (and thus not accept any responsibility for what he's done, no matter how silly the reason)... nobody else has a gun on them in most cases.

Most of the time it's easy to figure out motivation.

    Nutjob or terrorist

Most likely is a family dispute. Wife moves out with the kids. The estranged knows when, and where they go to church.

Oh, he will receive supreme responsibility for what he's done. For eternity. It'll be a bit toasty for him/it.

His victims, on the other hand, will be just fine. Better than fine, in fact...

Prayers for those left behind and their families. Those who were killed were released from their mortal bonds, sooner than should be, and are in God's Heaven about now.

Begin the conspiracy before any info confirmed and the victims are cold? New record.

    Don't know what to say.

Those lost (aside from the shooter) are in God's hands - sooner than expected - but there nonetheless. Prayers for their families, as the hurt will be unimaginable. Dying in a place of worship to God will help them, for faith is an incredible healer.

I am replying to the post quoted that they will be fine, for me they would be fine alive and with their families not murdered.
