It appears as though there isn't a CA PUG owner here. Their guns are OK, but I'd look at others too. I have a S&W Model 60 which is similar in size and weight. IT'S BRUTAL to shoot with Magnums... I would assume the Charter Arms PUG would be just as bad. I target practice with .38 Specials and save the Magnums for defense.

I've never personally owned a Charter but I'll echo mark here. Take a look at the model 60 he mentioned or a Ruger SP101. Slightly bigger but a GREAT pistol and shooting magnums isn't bad.

For the money, I have one that serves as a backup in the house. It shoots well for their cost. I think I got mine for around $300 several years ago. Its not a gun I shoot regular at the range but it serves a purpose for my intended use. There are better and worse guns out there.

Gulfcity, welcome to the forum. How about stopping by the Introductions section and tell us a littel about yourself and give a chance for the other members here to welcome you properly. :)
