Me? 4" auto. You can conceal nearly anything with the correct clothing. I used to carry a 8 3/8" S&W 44. I just had to wear a slightly longer jacket.

Depends on what I am wearing, and carrying that day. Biggest that I carry now days is a 1911, but usually winter time, coat, shoulder rig. Summer? Mdl 36, 2 inch, waistband holster.

I drop my barrel into ice water and shrink it up before I go out.

LMAO - you beat me to it....I usually carry one with a barrel 2" shorter than my pecker. I carry an 8" Colt Python in .357Mag.

You know I like to laugh as much as the next guy but RL357mag and Mark F why make fun on a thread of a member asking for advice. We have a lot of places for jokes in the forum so why do it on this thread? It might put off new new members by thinking the question asked isn't worth a reasonable answer. Even more it may prevent a new member from asking another question because they don't want to be punked again.

    Settle down WDB.

You're right WDB, but you need to chill a little-Hell the boys are just having some fun.:D To answer shaneo206 original question-to me-barrel length makes little difference-up to a 6" length. What matters to me is width of slides/grips, cyl. diameter. Most any length barrel can be hidden on an IWB type holster. My Colt Gov. Model is just as thin in the slide as is My Model 60 2", 5 shot .38Spl., and with the Hogue Mono grip on the 60 the grips stick out about the same amount. So IMO it all amounts to how you pack it=That could be a funny line???:confused::eek:
