You know.... I honestly never put much thought into .22 bullets, just figured there wasn't that much Difference in em..... About a week ago I picked up some CCI velocitor 40 grain HP for my 10/22, boy was I wrong, it is such a cool bullet, it's a little louder then your Typical cartridge, but it's a big bullet going down range a little quicker then I would expect from a 40 grain bullet, this puppy pals a punch too, it's drills through two 2 liter bottles at 100 yards, the trajectory is pretty flat too, I know what kinda bullet I'm using this squirrel season

I prefer to shoot the cheapest stuff I can find at the range. A lot of people are satisfied paying Mini-Mag prices, but I prefer guns that go bang consistently and aren't ammo picky.

However, even in my 10/22 and Beretta Neos, both reliable shooters, I would only use CCI for when it mattered. They have always made the highest quality rimfire rounds that were at a reasonable price. Mostly it's been Mini-Mags or Stingers for me, but either type has always loaded and fired reliably.

I usually just shoot Federal Bulk .22 through my Mark II. It never skips a beat. Of course, that's when I can find .22 ammo.

The velocitur is a hot load for a semi auto. It might end up causing some damage.

Federal makes good amo. CCI is among the most consistent mass produced.

Think THAT is expensive? HAH!!! For SERIOUS match shooting, been running Lapua Master or Nobel R-50 Match ammo. About $18/50. But WILL put 5 in 1 hole at 50 yds with the right rifle.

Cci blazer has always been my goto bulk ammo. Velocitior is my choice hunting round. Aquila interceptor also works great for me.

For match weigh and rim thickness your ammo into groups. This works just as well as high price ammo. More practice rather than more cost...
