I just recently purchased a Glock 22. and after seeing what a case explosion does to the polymer frame and possibly your hand or face, I have decided to either buy a new gun or buy a stainless steel frame for the gun I already have. Buying a new frame is defiantly the cheaper way to go about $300 not to mention my Glock would have a personal touch. Has anyone had any exp. with these frames, pro's and cons would be much appreciated.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about your Glock blowing up. No, I'm not a Glock fanboy, but stick with the recommended jacketed ammo and you're just fine.

The interwebz tends to make mountains out of molehills...

Yeah what NGIB said. I owned a G22 for years. Absolutely no problems.

You shouldn't have any worries with your G22.
Just don't use cast lead bullets, the lead fouling builds up in the polygonal rifling and can cause high pressures.
If you wish to use cast bullets just buy an aftermarket barrel with conventional rifling and shoot whatever you want.
I just stuck with shooting jacketed bullets (FMJ & JHP)
