I'm sure y'all have all seen them a lot of guys walk around with a .223 or a .308 and some with a 30-06 but I don't like the pointed rifle bullet so I was thinking about getting a round nose cartridge. My friend has a 45-70 which looks really cool but so would a 500 s&w or a 454 casull or even a .44 mag. What rounds would y'all get if you had to choose

I'd go the other way, something small, like .380 or 9mm. I have enough crap on my key ring.

How about a 50 BMG? LOL. My LGS sells 50 BMG pens and bottle openers. I almost just bought both with my gift Cert.

Whatever you choose, just do not take it into Washington DC or the other eastern state where having an empty cartridge in your possession is a crime.

I do take it off my key chain under certain circumstances, such as going through an airport and attending certain events.

Is that a 50 BMG on your keychain or are you just happy to see me?

I made my son a necklace out of para-cord and a 7.62x39 that he fired out of my SKS. I used a green polimer tipped bullet. I drilled out the primer pocket and pulled the para-cord in. I tied the knot inside the case and then seated the bullet. I also made myself one from a 7.62x54R and another from a 30-06.

My son wears his to high school every day. No one has given him any grief about it.

The funny thing is middle school used to give him crap about wearing "Halo" and "Call of Duty" T-shirts. But now he is in high school and nobody cares that he is wearing a real bullet.

None. Nothing suggestive of being armed or gun conscious.

I don't actually wear mine. They are hanging from a nail above my work bench. But my son wears his all the time.

I use the ring of the safety pin of the frag grenade I threw in basic training for a key chain ring. Had to turn in a safety pin so I gave the di a ring off a smoke grenade. Looked close enough as they didn't count those for turn ins.

Looks like a keychain ring but I know what it really is and that's all that matters

No cartridges on my keychain but I was thinking of one of those mini-flasks that hold a shot of booze! :D

I have a .357 w/ a 125grFMJ. I've had it for 20+ years. No problem at airports, court houses, nothing.

It's cool as hell, though it doesn't have a ring to hang it, or a magnet to stick it to your fridge. But I bet you could epoxy a rare earth magnet inside.
