hello, i will be driving from fort worth, texas to las vegas, nevada to visit family. in texas you are allowed to carry a gun in your vehicle without a concealed carry license. does anyone know the laws of new mexico, arizona, and nevada concerning a handgun in your personal vehicle?

    tks

    Legal Or Not

    Steve,
Recommend you do your own research at each states official web site rather than risk jail time based on someones answer that was inaccurate.

Good question Steve, here is a link that is a good place to start. Swing by the new members introduction page and tell us a bit about yourself.
    www.gunlaws.com

    Jeff,
Your only post on this forum is to tell another new member to do his own homework? I expect he was looking for the type of advice I offered, lots of good members here that will point Steve in the right direction. Swing by the new members page and tell us a bit about yourself.

In Az you can have a handgun in the vehicle loaded as long as it is in a holster that it can not be fired from. If you have a CCW or what ever you states calls there carry permit you should be okay here.

Here is the DPS web site for AZ

Concealed Weapons & Permits - Arizona Department of Public Safety
    or this
Gun laws in the United States (by state) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Hope this helps.
