Colt 1911 or hk45?
I would go with the 1911 but that's just me and MrWray you must have all the good pictures lol
Are you new to weapons?
What's your budget??
The Glock 21 and 36 are both EXTREMELY good .45 pistols.
XD, Ruger, and S&W M&P make good .45's too
1911's are great, but are heavy with low capacity.
I just love 1911s
New Colt Series 70
If it's for carry, you can do better than a 1911 or a USP. If it's not for carry, well you can't do better than a 1911.
M&Ps are ok, as are the Glocks, but unless you spend a little extra $$ you get more muzzle flip that you need to (depending on your budget). Also, with Glock, you have to be careful - there's .45 ACP and .45 GAP.
Or, you could go with a 1911 or a Sig P220 (again, depending on your budget). Both MAY be heavy, BUT, it depends on the person. I'm 5'9, 160lbs. I often carry my S&W 1911 (which is actually lighter than my glock 20, by a little). As far as capacity, it depends on your state. Some limit to 10 round mags (which is only 2 more than the Sig P220 - you CAN get 10 round mags for the 1911, depending on the model).
HKs are nice, too.
However, the real question to ask is why specifically a .45?
Um 1911. Yep 1911. Umm humm 1911. That's the one.
I love my 1911, but if I had the dough I'd upgrade to an H&K in a heartbeat.
1911 or a xdm
Im a very longtime 1911 shooter and i love the platform but my main carry gun is a xdm 45acp 3.5 compact
Same here love the 1911 but the xdm is excellent plus mag capacity
If its for carry they just came out with the xds
I would go with the m&p great organomet very comparable to shoot
I will eater go with a 1911 or xdm .45 as my next gun. It will most likely be the xdm. 1911 is my favorite gun but I won't the xdm for the 13+1. And in my eyes the xdm is the best polymer guns out there. And posable the most accurate .45 out there.
I am new to semi auto pistols. I have had quite a few revolvers. I really don't have a budget because I believe you get what u pay for
as good as H&K firearms are, i would still choose the Colt 1911, just because of it's history and following it has.
Ya Colts have been around for a long time
hands down 1911,, I think the H&K is the only pistol I have ever sold and never looked back, and I have quite a few.
i wouldn't rule out some of the other 45 semis on the market though, XDM 45c is one of my favorite 45s.
