Looking into getting a new safe, anyone have any reviews on cannon gun safes?
Purchased mine from TS as well. Believe it was $550 4 years ago.Renegade44 said:I just bought a safe. I decided on a Winchester 28 gun safe from tractor supply (699.00). I looked at the Canyon. Reason for not liking it was the door. It obstructed over 4" of entry from the right side, due to being an internal hinge assembly. I'm sure if I got a larger safe it wouldn't have been an issue.
But lifetime warranty and 4 sided locking mechanism on the Winchester was a selling point for me.
You should go to academy sports and personally check them out they usually have the best prices. They have cannon and a couple different brands as well.Basically here is where I stand, im looking to spend under 1000, I only have 6 long guns and three handguns at this time, but looking to get more eventually. I build each of my rifles from the ground up, so needless to say it wont be filled with a bunch of " daddys old shotguns" definitely looking for something to fit atleast 12 long guns comfortably, with storage for ammo etc.
I ended up buying a safe twice the size I originally wanted, wish I had gone even bigger.Applin88 said:
I personally would recommend a liberty Fatboy jr it's a 48 gun safe and u can add a door rack later if you need to and they are rated for 1200 or 1400 degrees for 45min and they were 999.00 at lowesThat's what im looking to do, atleast get one to fit twice what I already have
