Hey!! Members, back in September I started a stickey: Canine Companions. Are we going to let this Stickey die out. We all speak proudly of our dogs, to date we have only 9 posted. Come on we can do better than that. Remember your pooches are watching you. Come on, :confused:get the pics up!!

this is just one of many of our family members. Sparkplug, AKA, Sparky is a ****z Tzu and is one of our rescue puppies. he was dumped out along the road we live on and was covered badly with sticker burrs. we have had him now for about four years and he is about four and half years old. BTW, his name fits him!

Sad that people dump pups like that, thanks for picking him up. We did the same, that's why we named him Hiway !

i may not like people, but i have a huge soft spot in my heart for my critters!

every now and then i will go to the animal shelter and adopt one that is scheduled to be put down because they have been there too long and haven't been adopted out. sad that i can't save more of them.:(

Those jacks are so fun! IMO they're one of the greatest breeds. Loving, friendly, agile, Hunters, and they'll sound the alarm if somethings amiss, can and will viciously attack any intruder, and can be trusted with almost any but the most obnoxious child.

They're a great all around dog. Better than most in my opinion.

All breeds have their strengths and weaknesses. But I've yet to find one with the jack Russell and rat terriers, probably the most similar breed in terms of temperament, size, and workability.

Some can be very temperamental though. Just like people, all animals have their own personality that may fall well outside the norm.

This is Reba. She was our first J.R. We bred her to a Rough Coat sire and kept this one (named B.T.) out of her first litter.
They are great dogs but don't put up with a lot of nonsense. Kids poking at Reba through her cage at horse shows turned her against children of all kinds for the rest of her life. Both she and B.T. have a memorial spot in our front yard.

These are Peanut and Jasper, Peanut is a rather large Pomeranian I acquired with the the acquisition of my wife, Jasper is just a little pup in this photo, he's a Teddy Bear (****zhu/Bichon cross). The other mongrel is my pride and joy, Jinx the german wirehaired pointer. The one pick is of her first pheasant kill

I got out of that obsession a few years back when I started working on the road and didn't want to have anyone else responsible for takin care of the hounds. Now I find it much more fun to go along with my friend's dogs and go home without having to feed, house, and listen to the stinkin things bark :D

Saved from a kill-shelter the night before his date for extermination. Been with me now for five years. One of the best friends (and burglary alarms) ever! Thank you God! :)
