To all members (and visitors) that care to join in, this old man is asking you for a favor.

My entry in the 460 Rowland build-off is held up because of a back-up in work at my gunsmith.

I have a great gunsmith, Todd McKechnie of Customized Creationz in Washington, MI,

    www.customizedcreationz.com

whose business is in total overflow. His work is that good!

He is working on my Defender (Canebrake) and because of the queue, needs to finish it prior to, or with, Fenrir.

I’m asking you to send an email to Todd, DO NOT FLAME HIM! He does have my guns!

I think if he gets enough emails we may be able to get my job bumped up!

    Write what you want but this is the thought I would like conveyed;

    guns@customizedcreationz.com

Todd, I’m a member of the www.firearmstalk.com forum and have been following Canebrake’s custom 1911 build. He has been talking about a Colt Defender waiting finish at your shop.

I’d like to put a request in for you to finish this project and get the gun back to Canebrake so we can see this build and your work that he’s been bragging about!

    It's a complement in Michigan!

It's how Michael Moore says doobie head.

Is it technically a build off if a smith in a basement is doing the sweatshop grunt work for you?

If that's the case, does anyone wish to challenge me in the Air Jordan build off? My guy in Peking should be about done with mine.

Well, I heard J.D. smelted his own ore, created his own alloy, and hammered the frame, all the while mumbling prayers to Ares and cooling the heated metal in glacial waters. He had leftovers and offered the remaining steel to Odin, who used it to forge the Hammer of Thor.

As tawny muscle and sinew glistened in the light of an unforgiving sun, he ignored naked dancing girls who tried to tempt him away from his toil, and found release by cutting himself and using his spilled blood to cool the firing pin he had carved from the tooth of a rabid mongoose.

But I guess having Todd smith it is okay, too.

Jeesze, I just got my checkbook out and bought a Colt.

I'm feeling so inadequate right now.

I think I need a hug, is the SOS or SHS around?

Really any bleeding heart lib will do.

Should I put a trash bag on to practice safe hug?

You know swine flu and all, I'm just thinkin'. [IMG]

Jeesze, I don't know, I just got my checkbook out and bought the grips.

Na, really its similar to tanning any leather. Except there seams to be a need to stay away from salting the hide. Something to do with the thinness of snake skin and oh yea, those scale thingies.

I got mine from Mel at Dog Grips in Manroe, MI. Send him an email and ask him.

    bullcreedog1953@yahoo.com

    Or check out his offerings:

I heard J.D. tied himself to a grinding mill wheel for 7 years, pushed it till he got large enough, and broke into a snake worshipping temple to slay the 30 foot Rattler they kept there for his grips. But I guess it's okay that you ordered yours online.

Who is gonna sight this in for you?

Well, I heard J.D. wanted sights, to he went to Japan, took a piece of rail (causing a Bullet Train to derail, but that's neither here nor there), and laid virgins on it, deflowering them with such ferocity that it flattened the steel. The poor girl that finished what he called "dovetailing" still doesn't walk or talk.

But I guess if you can't afford sights, that's okay, too.

Don't make me tell you how he got the Tritium for the night sights.
