Its missing a screw and I'd like to order one if possible but I can't really place an order if I don't even know what I have.
I got it from my dad many years ago and would like to fix it up so to speak.
It is a non firing replica but I sill love it

(Let me know if the pictures I added didn't work please. I've been having problems getting photos to upload here lately)

You might be right. Look at the cylinder. It looks like it has the buttons where the caps slid on.

I think I was a real gun, its just been modified so that it can never be fired.
I did not pick it out personally.
My dad found it at a military surplus store that sold replicas.

It won't let me view your picture for some reason. I'll include a screen shot of what it looks like on my end since it seems like you can see my picture

no that gun was never a real gun.
I have the same cap gun on shelf.
It is made from pot metal, and is for caps.

Nope, I didn't edit the original post
But I did respond after you asked if was even real. I got the notification through my email and is showed that you asked if it was a real gun but when I went into the app to answer you, all it said for your comment was "edit" and that's it. I think something is wrong with the app or my phone or something

Oh wow, I had no idea that it was a cap gun. Thanks for the answer. If I can get the screw I need for it, I'll have to try and find some caps that fit it

I thought that maybe the buttons in the cylinder were for primer caps but I really don't know much about that kind of gun

On a real BP revolver those pins on the cylinder are for primer caps . I wouldn't put real primer caps on that . That is just a wall hanger . Just polish it up & be happy with a old looking gun .
If you want to shoot one ..... there are loads of BP kits you can buy & go shoot .

No never use primer caps on this !
It was made for the round plastic caps used on toys.

    Yup, Roger that!
I probably won't even try the plastic caps
