Acording to Google Maps it appears to have been manufactured on Old Denton Rd, near Hwy 287. LOL
Not the best pics in the world, bro- but I THINK you have a Mauser 98K that has been converted into a civilian sporting rifle, known as being sporterized.
If so, collector's value is gone, leaving the value as a shooter. Depending on the contion of the bore, maybe $150-165 or so.
I don't know what the deal is with that. Lol. It's a old German rifle
I'm with C3 its an old 98 Mauser, it's been sporterized by cutting down the mil stock. It looks like it still has the original barrel. They used to make replacement barrels in 30-06 that were cut to fit the original military stock so you didn't have to rework the stock, just change barrels and check the headspace. If the bore is really bad you can still find these occasionally at Numrich or other older parts shop fairly cheap.
So it's not worth crap? Thanks fellas. Maybe I will just customize it a little and keep it
Given the finish, I would not pay more than $100 for it. Sporterized Mauser 98, drilled and tapped for scope mount and a bunch of rust.
The Waffen amp looks different, I've seen it before.
