    How do you all camp?

If I'm going out with friends I take as little as possible mostly a tarp some rope a sleeping bag and the basic also a gun and depending on the gun depends on ammo and what not.

If I'm going camping with my GF I take a tent plus 50 extra pounds of stuff she just can't live without also she has to sleep in a tent refuses to sleep out in the open.

If I was to go camping by myself I can carry everything I need in my backpack. If my wife goes...we practically need a U-Haul. :D:eek:

I need the Super Duty just for the guns. The rest of the camping gear fits in a duffel or a backpack.

Not often. Maybe once a year. This time it looks like it will be twice.

Tent camping w/ my lady- car full of stuff, parked at a campsite on Chesapeake Bay, or Blue Ridge mountains.

Me- and maybe one of the grandkids doing a 2 nighter on the Appalachian Trail? Poncho liner, space blanket, net hammock. Food, canteen, filter, firestarter, sierra cup, knife, sidearm.

Well here in Australia most blokes who hunt and or fish will, depending on who's going take only a swag and cooking gear plus tucker if camping out in the bush. We generally eat simply as in chops, sausages, eggs, bacon with bread used as edible plates.
That's if it's a hit and run hunting/fishing camping session but those of us who go for a couple of days take tents or camper trailers which tow behind (11x6 or there abouts sized trailers) with a tent bolted across the top of the trailer that unfolds that has things like a sink, double bed/mattress and some other gear that basically makes it like a tent on wheels that tows behind the 4wd's or cars and takes about 10 minutes to set up.

We use camp ovens to cook out of and do things like rolled shoulders, pizzas, chooks, legs of lamb etc or frying pans for bacon and eggs for breakfast plus some take generators for lighting plus we use esky's or portable fridges to keep the food and beer cold.

Here's a picture of my hunting/fishing/ camping setup.
The 4wd is a Toyota Landcruiser cab chassis with a 6 cylinder 4.2 diesel with my camper trailer and 12' tinnie set up for a trip to 1 of our local dams with my son.

During Summer we cook on portable gas stoves because of bush fire restrictions and food is generally pretty simple as there's hunting and fishing time wasted sitting down eating.

Either way as minimal as "comfortably" possible.

Land Cruisers and Range Rovers are often seen in Africa and Australia. Here they cost a fortune. :(

    4X4 F250 diesel and 19 foot camper/trailer.

Park it in the trees beside the creek, 20 miles from the pavement. 10 miles from nearest cell phone service!:D

Couple of times I've gone up for a week and seen more bears than people.

My campsite must have at least a Queen sised bed, a shower, sink, bathtub, air conditioning, tv and a hairdryer. Most of my recent campsites had a refrigerator and microwave.
