I'm waiting for the snow to melt at 5000 feet.
We have a jeep camping trip planned.

I'm going somewhere the weekend after April 15th. I may just go set up a tent and fish at a state park, get in some disc golf and frosty cool beverages.

I myself will have to wait until July 4th.

I am too buried at work until then to get away from it all.

But I know the feeling of anticipation as it gets closer.

    Have a great time !!!

The army knocked any desire to sleep outside out of me.

Haven't been camping for years. We plan on starting up when the kids are a little older. But none of this nansy-pansy-camper stuff for us. We're gonna rough it, just like our forefathers did. In a tent. With an air mattress.

It'll be a few years before we can though.

Oh, that part is easy. . . Sleeping

I'm talking about the cliff-hanging mountain road.
It's easy to round a shady corner and see 6 - 8 feet of snow.

We will be going out in the next month or so. We usually do several trips with the camper. The wife needs all the amenities of home. And my son and I will tent it now and then. I would like to take him on a backpacking trip through the Colorado National Monument. I have hiked into Independence Monument and camped at the base. That was in May. It got very cold when the sun went down. Three of us piled into a two man tent. There was ice on the inside of the tent walls in the morning. We will wait until well into summer before we do that one.

First camping trip of the year will be April 18 for us at Hannah Park nr Jacksonville.

May be the last one with our current camper as we are thinking of replacing it.

It's not really camping in a trailer but its comfortable and I would not camp in a tent in Florida. Need the AC in the summer.

That is what the shotgun is for. I only wish I had the skill to skin one out alive, so I could wear its skin and show it how stupid they look...
