Two Camo paint jobs that I did using Krylon Fusion Camo paint

Remington 710, it had an ugly gray synthetic stock, the barrel & action were in good shape and matte black, so I just did the stock

This is a Savage 110, the birch wood stock and the metal were in horrible shape, so I scuffed everything and painted it, I used cedar tree branches for the shading

    Very nice.
Looks like a bit more than cedar. . . or I may just be used to Western Red Cedar.

very nice camo jobs! i use the Krylon camo paints as well. they are very durable if you do proper prep work before painting. the biggest key the prep work and getting the stock or metal completely clean and oil free.

i have done all of my black sythetic stocks in camo. IMO, the balck stocks just look cheap. the camo finish makes them look much nicer.

Also check out Alumahyde paint from Brownels. Good, strong finish.

here are a few of mine that had black synthetic stocks to begin with. i used the Krylon flat finish camo paints. i make my own stencils to make the patterns on the stocks, using a fogging method. that way i don't end up with sharp edges.

i was thinking about painting a couple of my rifles but need help. Im going to buy the krylon camo paint but do you need to clear when your done or does that paint seal itself. and do you have to prep the barrel different or just prep it the same as stock.
