So I have these modified HK USC stocks for sale. They were changed from thumbhole stocks to pistol grip stocks. A person in CA has made an offer on one of them.

My question: Can I sell one of these to a CA resident? It's my understanding that a semi-auto rifle in CA cannot have a pistol grip stock unless it has a fixed mag. Does this mean I can't sell it to him?

    Thanks

Rifles can have a pistol grip here as long as they have a fixed magazine. A pistol grip and a removable magazine make an "Assault" rifle as unbelievable as that may seem. Too many "evil" features.

I don't really know what to tell you. Although you may want to err on the side of caution.

As a resident in CA I can legally order and buy collapsible stocks and pistol grips for ARs, even though they could be put on a rifle that would then be illegal. It is my responsibility to not manufacture an illegal weapon from parts I can legally buy.
Still I think some manufacturers will not sell some parts here in CA.
Maybe try checking some stock manufacturers websites to see if they ship to CA.

You are GTG. What the Buyer does after receiving it does not affect you at all.
