I have seen many posts about rock river, palmetto state, s&w and others but not much by way of bushmaster. Is it widely accepted or thought that the BM product is cheap, bad quality or some other maliance? I guess you get what you pay for but it seems they are huge sellers and for pricing is very cheap. What about the carbon C15 model....anything you can tell me to watch out for? Thanks!!!!

They are huge sellers because most LGS carry them and many/most buyers don't educate themselves before making a purchase. Misinformation runs rampant.

Local gun shop. You see a lot of popular, but not necessarily good, choices there.

I personally owned one and have since been forced to spend the money to replace the receivers. After following proper procedure to remove my barrel and install a free float rail, the upper receiver where the barrel lug goes was stripped out and was twisting about a quarter turn. I essentially sold the good parts for what I could and built a rifle for little more than what the c15 costs. After all of that the only assistance bm customer service could offer was to ask check, money order or charge? For the new 135.00 plastic upper STRIPPED. I was originally offended by those who called the gun plastic but they were right. Save yourself the headache.

Headache saved for sure as I was already pretty much decided to not go that route from previous research and others here who have helped me in the past.but I had to ask the question to confirm my thoughts on the matter.
