I am looking to build a permanent lower for my Kimber .22 conversion slide. Does anyone know have any suggestions on where to buy a decent frame under 180.00??? I am looking for just the frame. I have all the internal parts lined up. Thanks

Brownell's would probably be your best bet. Not sure you'll find anything under $180 though. There's also a place called sarcoinc.com that has lots of parts - haven't used them myself though...

sarco used to sell 1911 frames bout 15 years ago they were all surplus stuff that were in various conditions. not sure if they still do.

just be careful of the hammer most hammers will strike the bottom of the rear sight of the kimber conversion. need a commander style hammer for that to not happen.
