I'm having some trouble with my browning semi-auto 22. cal long rifle. It has new springs and a new firing pin and is in very good condition. When I shoot it, it'll ejects the spent shell with no problem but jams when loading the second round. I have to manually pull back the breech and release it to push the round in completely. I've cleaned, oiled and inspected it and can't seem to find what I'm missing. Any help or advice to get me looking in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You're talking about the takedown model that loads through the buttstock right? You need to check the cartridge carrier, and possibly "adjust" it. How many rounds have been shot through it?

Could also be the ammo is Standard Velocity instead of HV. If it's loading by hand but not automatically.

Jonny4089 did you ever figure out the feed issue with your Browning 22 auto. Reading your post is exactly the same problem I am having with my 22 auto.
Anyone that can advise would be appreciated.

Jonny needs to take his 22 to the gunsmith. That is a $1000 rifle is playing gunsmith with. Getting a Browning semi auto 22 is one of those moments you don't forget.
