BAR or R1 in 300 Win Mag- Lets hear from those that have-
I have the Browning BAR in .338 WinMag.

It's completely reliable, as accurate as my bolt actions, ergonomic.......

I don't have a Benelli R1, but after owning Benelli shotguns, I would trust anything they make, sight unseen.:)

I went with Benelli the ComForTec recoil system works great 300wm is a bad *** round fun to shoot I have maybe 25 rounds thru her so far no problems, I just like the Benelli R1 look real snazy kinda like an Italian sports car:cool:

I decided on the Bar Safari with the steel receiver in 300 WinMag. I would have gone with the R1 or the BAR with the aluminum receivers but I thought the 300 would be better as a steel 8.3 lb rifle. I need to find the lightest scope made and I don't care what it cost. I just hope the recoil is decent being a gas operated and 8.3 lbs.

Does anyone know of a ten round magazine for this gun ???

My friend, that combo will not kick you as bad as a bolt action .308 or .270.

The .300 WinMag deserves a good 2-10 or 3-9 scope. Take a look at

Trijico Tr-20
Nikon Monarch 2.5-10X42
Leupold 3-9X50 VX-R.
