Back in the early 90's I purchased a Classic Double 101 trap combo and had shot it very well. But they where produced with a limited number and I decided to get another trap gun before I did something bad to it.
This time I decided to get a trap single, and began looking around. What caught my eye was the Browning Citori combos that Guns Unlimited had but they where only available in the two barrel combo.
By chance one early January morning (on a Saturday) I saw on the Browning web site they has a Grade 1Citori Undersingle. I contacted Browning the next Monday morning and was met with complete denial of the fact that the gun had been on their web site.
Later that year as I was attending the US Open Trap shoot in Sparta I found that Guns Unlimited had the guns and purchased one.
The storyline is that GU had a contract with Browning that only GU could sell Citori Trap combos with the undersingle. So Browning had made a mistake listing it on their main web site. That first year I was told that only a few (less than 40) Grade 1undersingles had been made and I have one of them.

That looks to be one sweet shotgun. I use a Browning BT-99 but this looks like a step up from that. I have seen a few Berettas like this but not a Browning.

As I said I purchased this Citori XT Undersingle from Guns Unlimited Omaha, Ne. As far as I know they are the ONLY place that I have seen them for "sale". They now have the Browning 725 combos and Undersingles in stock.

its a preference thing. some like un singles, some like over singles. shooting that gun takes getting use to. many feel its like teetering on a precipice when its sighted.
i too had a win black diamond 2 bbl combo back in the day. i loved it, shot it well, but hated it. sold it. it had a rh cast and i was a lefty.

how much did that browning set you back?

I bought the Browning about three years ago, it was $2000. I see that GU Omaha has them listed the XT is $2695 & the 725 for $2795 those are with the MC stock they have ones with the adjustable comb for $200 more.
Did the Black Diamond have a fixed rib or was it adjustable?
