After scouring some top models for weeks now, decided to go with the Remington 870 clone made by IAC....the HAWK 982. It's likely not top notch fit and finish like Mossberg or Remington quality, but for a very basic HD shotgun able to be decorated with add-ons and a price tag of $280 this gun is perfect!

Anyone else own one and can attest to its quality and reliability?

I'm excited to add a forend grip, side saddle, and adjustable buttstock.....hopefully a folding one if I can find one that fits! Here's a pic of the stock shotgun:

Had one in the shop. Seemed like a decent gun, maybe a bit heavy. I haven't heard of any issues with them.

Mehhh its 7lbs, a bit heavier than similar tactical shotguns but not too bad. Will lighten up once I install a new buttstock
