Got stupid today and bought a boat. I haven't owned a boat for over 14 years and when I sold the last one I swore I'd never buy another, but here I am again.

It's a 23' 2003 Crownline bowrider with 25 hours on the hobbs meter and looks nearly show room new inside and out. My purchase is contingent on a trial run and a mechanical inspection by my choice of boat mechanic. It's been a Lake Tahoe boat only when it was in the water. It's been in Carson City Nevada for quite awhile but will be back in and will stay in Lake Tahoe if it passes muster by me and my mechanic.

So.... Here I go once again!!!

2 of the happiest days of my life were the day I bought my boat and the day I sold it. Nice ride though!!!

Love to buy a boat, but I live in the hills and mountains of Germany. Plus, I have no idea how to operate one. :( Enjoy your new boat!

Very nice. Congratulations. I'd like to buy a jet ski or two some day. But I think a full on boat is a bit out of my price range anytime soon. Anyway, she's a beaut. Congrats.

Congratulations on the new boat! I was just on the lake on mine today. A bit older but the same size. I have a 1990 23ft VIP Vindicator with a 460 big block. I'm takin a guess that your Crownline is probably running a 454 or 496? Boats this size run incredibly smooth across the water. I hope you enjoy it.

I have the same boat in a dyslexic sort of way. Mine is a 32 foot double masted sailboat.

I sat out longer than you did, thirty years.

Boat has a 6.2 liter injected Chevy Vortex MerCruiser power package and outdrive with those two counter rotating props. I believe it's the MerCruiser Bravo 3 drive.

I had a boat. I found it easier and much less frustrating to just open a window and toss my money out.:(

I would like to get a small motor boat to fish on though sometimes. Then I remember...That fateful day of the FTF boat trip..The hoooror...oooooh the horror!!!

Thinking of getting a fishing boat, maybe aluminum lightweight to pull.

I'be got a wave runner as well. I pull it behind our travel trailer when we take it. I love being out on the lake.

Is there a difference between a wave runner and a jet ski? Are they just brands for the same device or are they actually different "toys?"
